Story

The Armenian Cardiologists Association (ACA) was established in 1996 as the successor of the Society of Cardiologists of Armenia, and has been a proud full member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) since 1997. With the primary objective of promoting the health and well-being of individuals across the Republic of Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora, ACA is dedicated to implementing programs that address the challenges in the field of cardiology. Under the leadership of past presidents Parunak Zelveyan (2017-2019) and Hamayak Sisakyan (2019-2021), ACA has made significant strides in achieving its goals. Currently, the association is led by President Hamlet Hayrapetyan (until 2025) and Permanent Secretary Marine Ordyan. ACA is comprised of approximately 500 members, including cardiologists from Armenia, Syria, Lebanon, and India. By providing a platform for professional networking and collaboration, ACA strives to enhance the quality of cardiovascular care in the region. The association also fosters education and training opportunities for its members, ensuring that they stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field. As a leading voice in cardiology, ACA is committed to advancing the health and longevity of individuals across the region and beyond.
