- Emergency Cardiology Department
In the Department of Emergency Cardiology, high-quality specialized medical care is provided to patients with heart diseases. The department consists of an intensive care unit (ICU), a semi-intensive unit (second stage) and wards. Close cooperation with specialists from other departments makes it possible to restore arterial patency in the first hours of myocardial infarction and prevent the development of myocardial infarction. This contributes to a significant reduction in the percentage of disability in patients. The main task of the Department of Emergency Cardiology is the treatment of acute myocardial infarction and acute coronary syndrome. The intensive care unit (ICU) receives patients with acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, acute cardiac arrhythmias, acute heart failure and other life-threatening cardiovascular pathologies. The department also treats patients with chronic forms of coronary heart disease (CHD), arterial hypertension, chronic heart failure, myocardial and pericardial diseases, endocarditis, and other heart problems. Every year, the department treats more than 3,000 patients receiving inpatient care (1000-1100 of whom are with acute myocardial infarction) and about 6,000 patients receiving outpatient care. The department is equipped with all the necessary modern equipment. invasive and non-invasive monitors, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, treadmill, Holter monitors are available. The department employs highly qualified cardiologists-resuscitators specializing in leading foreign clinics. Treatment is carried out in accordance with international standards in accordance with the recommendations of the European Association of Cardiologists. The department is the clinical base of the Department of Cardiology of YSMU. Every year 10-15 doctors undergo clinical residency in the department. Scientific research is being conducted, the results of which are published in scientific cardiological publications in the USA, Europe.
- Arrhythmology Cardiology Center
In the department of electrophysiology and interventional arrhythmology noninvasive and invasive electrophysiological studies of the cardiovascular system, advice on arrhythmology and pacing are used, as well as to medical and interventional, endovascular (angioplasty of the coronary arteries, radiofrequency ablation of arrhythmogenic zones, various methods of pacing, resynchronization therapy) and surgical correction of heart rhythm in accordance with international standards and recommendations are carried out. The Department is equipped with the most modern equipment including patient's monitoring systems, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, and also with wide array of medical equipment for the invasive electrophysiological diagnostics and interventional treatment of arrhythmias. The main activities of the department are the treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias, as well as combined heart disease - coronary heart disease, congenital and acquired (valvular) heart disease, complicated by the development of cardiac arrhythmias. The department employs 4 doctors arrhythmologists, including two certified invasive electrophysiologists, who provide the whole spectrum of arrhythmology procedures. Every year in the Department get treatment around 2000 patients, 1400 of which are out-patients.

- Cardiopulmonary Department
Department of Cardiopulmonary pathology of Erebouni medical center provides treatment is of more than 3,000 patients a year with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.
The department also treats patients with chronic forms of coronary heart disease (CHD), arterial hypertension, chronic heart failure, myocardial and pericardial diseases, endocarditis, and other heart problems.
Due to the multi-profile, highly qualified specialists and up-to-date equipment of Erebouni Medical Center, rapid and accurate diagnosis of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases is carried out, the multidisciplinary team provides effective treatment in accordance with international standards and guidelines.
- Angiography service
The Department of Angiography of MC Erebouni Medical Center was founded in February 2003 and named after our compatriot, Academician of the Russian Federation Bagrat Alekyan. The department, in compliance with international standards, provides 24-hour medical services, diagnostics and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases in need of planned and emergency medical care. The department has all the conditions for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and interventional surgeries.
In terms of coronary artery stenting, MC Erebouni is the leader, 45% of the interventions performed- are cases of acute heart attack. Angiography is the X-ray imaging of blood vessels using contrast agents, which is generally done to see if there's a restriction in blood flow going to the heart and elimination of existing pathology. The Department of Angiography also performs unique interventions in the Republic. Pulmonary artery stent has been implanted in Armenia, in MC Erebouni, for the first time.
Endovascular interventions are carried out with the use of sedation and they are painless. The main approach used in the department is transradial access - through the radial artery, which not only reduces the rate of local complications after interventions, but also is more comfortable for the patients. In case of endovascular interventions (angioplasty, stenting) the hospital stay may be extended up to 2-3 days, depending on the patient's condition.
