Successful Completion of the 1st International Interventional Cardiovascular Course – Yerevan

The 1st International Interventional Cardiovascular Course was successfully held on 19–20 September 2025 at the Marriott Hotel, Yerevan, bringing together leading cardiologists and interventional specialists from Armenia and abroad.

Over two days, the program featured insightful presentations on coronary interventions, including lectures by Prof. Antonio Colombo (Italy) on drug-coated balloons and PCI complications, and Prof. Bernhard Reimers (Italy) on IVUS-assisted treatment of calcified lesions. Sessions on structural heart disease addressed TAVI challenges, mitral and tricuspid therapies, and the role of imaging in modern catheterization. Pediatric and neurointervention topics were also covered, alongside specialized clinical case discussions from Armenian experts.

The course provided a unique platform where the experience of Armenia, Central Asia, and Europe was shared, making the event a remarkable success and an important step forward for the development of interventional cardiology in the region.
